DIY Framebridge Gallery Frames

I have been obsessing over Framebridges Triptych Frames, but to be honest wasn’t ready to pay $500+ so I decided to give them a good ole DIY try.
Here is how you can do them for $160

Materials:

  • 3x Ikea Ribba Black Picture Frames (24″x 36″) $60
  • Customized Mats from Michaels $80
  • 12″x18″ posters from Walgreens $20K

Frames:

  • If you are close to an Ikea I highly recommend either going to pick the frames up in-store or doing a click & collect. Ikea frames are known for coming in cracked with delivery.
  • I will say due to COVID they have drastically decreased their shipping fee so if you have to order for delivery at least you won’t have to pay the $150 flat fee anymore!

Mats:

  • Next you will want to go get your custom mats. Again, I know not ideal with the pandemic, and can possibly be done over the phone, but if possible take 10 minutes and go into the store to work with a team member to ensure they get done correctly.
  • You’ll want to ensure you get a 14″x11″ cut out with 5″ borders on each of the three sides (top, left and right,) and have it top centered.
  • I suggest taking a screenshot or pulling up this post as visual for them.

Prints:

  • Last thing you’ll want to do is order your prints. You can do these at a variety of places. I ended up using Walgreens because they had the best sale going on.
  • ALWAYS, ALWAYS look for a coupon.
  • I wanted to get my prints a little bigger than the opening to ensure I would have plenty of room to get the right frame in the photo. For this reason I went with a 12″x18″.

Put together & enjoy!

Would love to see how you make this your own!
